TRU Books is in the final stages of negotiations with L.A. gang truce alliance co-founder and Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards (HHHOF) television show executive producer, J.T. Thompson. The book will tell the real story behind the L.A. riots and the subsequent L.A/Watts gang truce that included his partner in the struggle, Daude Sherrills. The motion picture movie \"Redemption\" starring Oscar award winner Jamie Foxx playing the character Stanley \"Tookie\" Williams, Crip gang founder, is a small reflection of the \"TRU-Story\". About writer and creator, JT Thompson

As one of the main co-founders of the historical 1992 L.A. gang truce alliance, HHHOF producer J.T. Thompson took the lead in bridging community, private, and public works and socio-economic development projects during and after the L.A. Riots.
